Megan Hooper RN & PRACTICE MANAGER
Megan is a very empathic nurse with a love and skill of teaching and coaching. She aspires to give people the confidence and skills to move forward and navigate their personal challenges and health issues. In addition to being an experienced senior nurse, Megan also brings her management and remarkable networking skills to her role as Kintsugi Health’s practice manager. She is a foodie extraordinaire, and we often get to taste her delicious creations in the office kitchen.
Megan is a registered nurse with a background in emergency nursing, rural and remote health and palliative care. She has worked in various countries and industries including health, hospitality and training. She has travelled the world extensively to challenge herself and develop resilience resulting in great interpersonal and sound life skills. She loves learning about different cultures and embraces the opportunity to experience their lifestyle, food and way of life.
The need for connection with nature and community saw Megan settle in Mansfield 14 years ago and she has embraced all that this area offers.
After working in emergency departments, the rural setting and palliative care, Megan has seen first-hand the impact that stress, diet and lifestyle can have on our minds and bodies. After being touched by family members being affected by cancer over 20years ago, she has developed her passion for a more holistic and preventative approach to health care. She has a keen interest in integrative and alternative medicine and embraces the gut/mind/body/spirit connection.
When she is not working, Megan can be found in her garden, around a campfire or out in nature creating great food, connections and soulful experiences. She also enjoys the benefits of yoga, bushwalking, cooking and connecting with friends.
