Meet Our Team

Kintsugi Health's dedicated and experienced team is joined by Mansfield Psychology, Megan Lebek Naturopathy, Erin Friend Massage and Spice of Life Food Coaching - operating as independent practices. We also work collaboratively where appropriate to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients. We share a holistic, integrative approach to patient care.

Dr Nelda Swart of Kintsugi Health Mansfield and Wangaratta

Dr Nelda Swart GP

Nelda is the founder and practice principal of Kintsugi Health. Her medical career meandered through anaesthesia, GP practice and emergency medicine, and took her from urban to rural to remote locations in both South Africa and Australia. While she enjoys the challenges of clinical medicine, she has always been drawn to a more holistic approach to patient care.

 

Dr Laura Carter GP

Laura is a rural GP anaesthetist who is passionate about preventative healthcare, to reach beyond the standard delivery of “band-aid” medicine. Laura has always been fascinated by the complexities of the human body and has strived to better understand these complexities in order to live well. Laura completed a science degree with honours at University of Sydney with a focus on human biology, physiology and biochemistry.

Megan Hooper RN & Practice Manager at Kintsugi Health

Megan Hooper RN & PRACTICE MANAGER

Megan is a very empathic nurse with a love and skill of teaching and coaching.  She aspires to give people the confidence and skills to move forward and navigate their personal challenges and health issues.  In addition to being an experienced senior nurse, Megan also brings her management and remarkable networking skills to her role as Kintsugi Health’s practice manager. She is a foodie extraordinaire, and we often get to taste her delicious creations in the office kitchen. 

 

Cait Steiner RN

With her broad range of skills, Cait is a valuable member of the Kintsugi team. In addition to helping out as a clinical nurse, she is also our research champion and the coordinator of the Chronic Pain toolbox programme. Cait is a registerd nurse and midwife. She has worked in a diverse range of settings from small outback clinics in the NT to larger hospitals.

Erin Friend RN & Massage Therapist

Erin Friend RN & MASSAGE THERAPIST

Erin is a multi-talented member of our team. In addition to being a Registered Nurse and a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist, she has amazing digital marketing skills. 

 

Dr Kate McSweeney PSYCHOLOGIST

Kate is the principal psychologist at Kintsugi Health. She is a highly-qualified, multi-talented much loved member of our team. Since the completion of her Doctor of Clinical Psychology degree in 2006, Kate has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including private clinics, public psychiatric services and research settings.

Megan Lebek  NATUROPATH

The first thing one notices when meeting Megan, is an aura of calmness and grace. With her knowledge of exercise science and natural medicines, and her passion for women’s health,  Megan is a much valued member of our team.   

 

Andy Kappes FOOD COACH

Founder of Spice of Life, Andy is a qualified and experienced educator in the food and nutrition field. Passionate about real and delicious food, Andy provides nutritional consultations, healthy meal plans, recipes, shopping lists and tips, and much more.
